The School of Veterinary Medicine, University College Dublin now invites applications for the position of Resident in Large Animal Surgery to commence Summer 2024. This is a 3-4 year full time training position with the following aims:
- To provide clinical training in the field of large animal surgery within an approved residency programme (standard VSRP)
- To obtain a professional doctorate
- To provide an introduction to and experience in clinical research
- To develop communication and teaching skills
The Resident will be expected to enrol and successfully complete certification for the Diploma of the European College of Veterinary Surgery – Large Animal (ECVS-LA).
Applicants must have a veterinary qualification registrable by the Veterinary Council of Ireland (see www.vci.ie).
Applicants must have completed an internship or its equivalent demonstrating broad training and experience in large animal surgery and supporting disciplines as dictated by the European College of Veterinary Surgery Training Brochure (www.ecvs.org).
