Offering a truly collaborative environment, you will work in a growing multidisciplinary setting, whilst having the opportunity to draw on the knowledge and experience amongst the extensive network of SASH specialists, assisting you to achieve the best results for your patients. Just a few of the teams you will work collaboratively with onsite include; emergency with critical care, internal medicine, oncology, dermatology, diagnostic imaging, and anaesthesia.

The Surgery Position:
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Surgery Specialist or Registrar to join our experienced team of specialists. This is a brand new hospital, being purpose-built, with all of the equipment you need to work up your complex surgeries, including; MRI, CT, C-arm, fluoroscopy, 3 beautiful theatres with 1 having Interventional capabilities. We are looking for a permanent team member to join our 4 experienced Surgery Specialists, working across a 4-day week. A fixed-term contract would be also considered for the right applicant.
As part of your role, you will:
- Examination and management of small animal surgery cases.
- Completion of clinical records including prompt communication with referring veterinary clinics and clients as appropriate.
- Participation in continuing education seminars, tutorials, rounds with interns and referring veterinarians.
- Participation on the out-of-hours roster including 1 in 5 weekends.
- Meet clinical billing, invoicing and production levels as advised by your Leader.
To be considered for the position, you will need to:
- Value a hospital culture of inclusivity, empathy and teamwork.
- Be eligible to register as a veterinarian in New South Wales and be qualified as a specialist in Surgery, Fellow (ANZCVS) or Diplomate (ACVS, ECVS).
- Applicants who have completed a residency training program in surgery and are eligible to sit a certification examination are strongly encouraged to apply!
