Small Animal Surgery Position

Job Summary:

The Jordan National K9 Center’s Veterinary Hospital and Rehabilitation Center in Amman, Jordan, is seeking a skilled and motivated Small Animal Surgeon to join our progressive, multidisciplinary team. This is an exciting full-time opportunity to work in a growing, state-of-the-art facility that combines advanced technology with a collaborative and supportive environment. As part of a dedicated team of veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and support staff, the successful candidate will contribute to delivering high-quality surgical care and advancing the center’s mission of supporting Jordan’s working dogs and the wider veterinary community through referral and second opinion services. This position offers the chance to be part of an innovative institution at the forefront of veterinary medicine in the region.

Responsibilities:

• Responsibilities will include providing clinical service in the hospital as per the following:

• Surgical management of surgery cases presented to the Veterinary Hospital and Rehabilitation Center.

• Collaboration with support of other clinical services within the hospital as needed to provide excellent patient care (e.g. Emergency and Critical care, Diagnostic imaging, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Dermatology, Dentistry, Anesthesia, and Neurology).

• Consultation with referring veterinarians regarding follow-up care for patients treated at the Veterinary Hospital and Rehabilitation Center or for general advice on surgery cases.

Education and Qualifications:

• DVM - Doctor of Veterinary Medicine or equivalent degree

• American or European College of Veterinary Surgeons Board Certification or Board Eligibility with advanced training in surgery (completion of residency in small animal surgery) at time of start date, with special focus on orthopedic surgery

Salary:

Attractive salary and additional benefits including accommodation, insurance, etc.

Annual (12 months)

Actual pay will depend on experience and qualifications.
