Are you ready for an adventure? Veterinary Specialty Center of Newfoundland & Labrador (“VSCNL”) is seeking a Board-Certified Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon, to join the enthusiastic team at the only 24/7 emergency and referral center in the province.   
 

This is an excellent opportunity to lead our busy surgery service and provide much-needed surgical services to the animals of Newfoundland.   

   

As a Board-Certified Veterinary Surgeon, you will work closely with the surgical support team of highly skilled Registered Veterinary Technicians and assistants alongside specialists in anesthesiology, diagnostic imaging, internal medicine, and an ER team.   

 

You will have access to advanced surgical tools including Storz arthroscopic and laparoscopic equipment, C-arm and C-arm compatible OR tables, Harmonic Scalpel, Asculap battery-operated orthopedic drills and saws, standard and locking orthopedic implants, and almost anything else you can think of!  

 

We also have a comprehensive in-house laboratory staffed by Registered Medical Laboratory Technologists and the only Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner (CCRP) in the province. Our rehabilitation service is well equipped with a large gym area, underwater treadmill, laser, TENS, and therapeutic ultrasound. Diagnostic imaging capabilities are all available with an in-house 32-slice GE CT and a 1.5 T MRI.
